Flick offers free access to upload your photos and join groups so that you can not just share your photos, but get advice from other photo enthusiasts to improve your photography. I also use it before going on holiday to see what is in the area that I am staying, sometime you find things the tour guides miss out.
Shops
Amazon can often be the cheapest place to buy items, but be careful when buying cameras other users have reported that they do not allows get the UK version of a camera. They are however very cheap, I saved £200 on a Nikkor lens last year and save every time I buy Epson inks from them.
Jessops has an online presence that allows you to buy or reserve products at their Internet prices, that are often cheaper than in-store prices. They also have an online prints facility if you want to print your photos in bulk, on canvas or novelty items.
Calumet offers a wide range of equipment and even offers a rental scheme; I have no experience of using them so cannot provide any feedback on them; but other users have said that they are good. They also have local stores if you prefer speaking to a person rather than a computer.
Professional Video Camera: Prokit supply professional broadcast equipment, hd cameras and film and video production products. Visit their site for more details.
Warehouse Express is an online retailer with very low prices on most photo items, they offer online review from other buyers as well as their own expert advice. I have found them to be fast and reliable.
